About Me
I am a Senior Research Scientist on the Robotics team at Google DeepMind in Mountain View. I work on problems in scaling robot learning, foundation models, and reinforcement learning.
In 2017, I obtained my M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, where I was advised by Professor Claire Tomlin. My work in the Berkeley Artifical Intelligence Research Lab focused on machine learning and control theory, particularly in sample efficient settings. At UC Berkeley, I founded and led Machine Learning at Berkeley, a student-run machine learning organization that worked with academic leaders, consulted on industry projects, and taught courses for credit. In my free time, I played on the UC Berkeley Roller Hockey Team and the UC Berkeley Chess Team.
I have previously interned at Adobe Research, Amazon, Acupera, and Schilling Robotics. My experiences there include a mix of machine learning research, data engineering, and software engineering.
